Slipway Works

Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 July 2026

1. Who we are

Slipway Works is the trading name of Yaakov Vogel, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("Slipway Works", "we", "us"). We build and sell focused software — developer utilities, web tools and APIs. You can reach us at support@slipwayworks.com.

2. Purchases and payment

Purchases are processed by our payment partner, Polar Software Inc. ("Polar"), acting as merchant of record. Polar handles checkout, payment processing and applicable sales tax or VAT. The charge on your statement may appear under Polar's name. Polar's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment transaction itself.

Prices are shown at checkout, inclusive or exclusive of tax as indicated. We may change prices at any time; changes never affect purchases you have already made.

3. Delivery

Our products are digital. Delivery is by download link, license key, or API access, normally available immediately after payment. If anything fails to arrive within a few minutes, contact us and we will put it right.

4. License

Unless a product page states otherwise, your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the product for your own projects, personal or commercial. You may not resell, redistribute, or repackage a product as your own, and you may not share license keys or API credentials.

5. Refunds

We offer a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund on every purchase. See our Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use our products or APIs to break the law, to infringe others' rights, or to disrupt or overload our services. We may suspend API access that materially exceeds documented usage limits or that we reasonably believe is abusive; where practical we will contact you first.

7. Our liability

Our products are provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under English law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the date above reflects the latest revision. The terms in force when you purchase apply to that purchase.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — though if you are a consumer, you keep any protections of the law of the country you live in.
