Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
Slipway Works is the trading name of Yaakov Vogel, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal data we handle when you visit this site or buy one of our products, and the rights you have over it. We keep it deliberately short because we collect deliberately little.
1. What we collect, and why
- Order details. When you buy a product, our payment partner Polar (the merchant of record) processes your payment and shares with us your email address and order details (product, amount, time of purchase). We use these to deliver the product, provide support, and keep required sales records. We never see your full card details.
- Support email. If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can help you and refer back to it.
- Service logs. Our APIs and delivery infrastructure keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability.
We do not run advertising, we do not sell or share personal data for marketing, and we do not send marketing email. This site does not set tracking cookies.
2. Legal bases
Under UK GDPR we process order details and support correspondence to perform our contract with you; service logs and fraud prevention under our legitimate interest in running a secure service; and sales records to comply with legal (tax) obligations.
3. Who else is involved
- Polar Software Inc. — checkout, payment, tax handling, as merchant of record. See Polar's privacy policy.
- Infrastructure providers — we host our services and data with established cloud providers (currently Cloudflare and Neon), under their standard data protection terms. Some processing may take place outside the UK, protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
4. How long we keep data
Order records are kept for as long as tax law requires (generally six years in the UK). Support correspondence is kept while it stays useful, then deleted. Technical logs are short-lived and rotate automatically.
5. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict processing, and ask for it in a portable format. Email support@slipwayworks.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
6. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
